Why I'm a misanthrope

Here are the reasons why I am a misanthrope, and if you aren't familiar with the term, I will explain. A misanthrope is someone who distrusts, disdains and or hates human species or human nature.

From an early age, I didn't like people all that much. When I was in school, I was always the shy quiet kid, that was picked on, and I didn't really have friends until I was 20. So to a degree, minus family, and a few acquaintances here, and there, I've always been alone. I never really liked people that much to begin with because no one wanted to be my friend, and I was just afraid of people, I didn't know how to talk to people. As a grew older, I always tried to avoid the nasty people.

I never knew how terrible people were until I started working in retail, and ever since I haven't been the same! In my two years in retail, I have dealt with the nastiest, laziest, annoying, most idiotic people I have ever met in my life! To think that the world is filled with these scumbags just sickens me.
I have dealt with people who told me to "F off!" just for telling them that the store's shopping carts don't go outside. I had a crazy lady come up to me for no reason, scream and accuse me of getting her in trouble because she had a dog in the store. Another time I was called stupid by a customer because I told her where the purchase line was, and she went the wrong way, she called me stupid because SHE went the wrong way!

But it seems like no matter what you do, or where you go, there's also some jerk-off being a total dickwad!
There is no safe haven! You can go on a facebook group with a community of loving people, and still find people who are going to be ass-wipes and rain on your parade! It doesn't matter where you go, there's always someone that has to say something, whether it's on Facebook, Twitter or even a site you made. You still find people being rude to you, wherever you go!

It's so funny, I have a friend who thinks everyone should be all about the news, and know whats going on with the world. But you know what, I hate people. I see all of the stupid, and nasty things people do, all of the hate and intolerance that people do in the real world.. .that I honestly don't even want to know about it all. There are people who hate people just because of their skin color, there are people that send threats of rape, and injury just because someone is a girl, some people go out of their way to prevent rights for being in love with the same sex. Yes, I think it's understandable to be up to date with the world. But at the same time, to see how disgusting and putrid humans are, I don't really want to... All I really want to do is bring justice to these scum bags that think they're better than everyone else, and have the nerve to be rude or nasty to someone just because of who they are, and dare they be different!
Not to mention that we live in a very heteronormative and sexist society, where all you see in Television and Movies are half naked women, or girls making out. But the minute a half naked guy is on screen, or two guys kiss, everyone loses it! People are very one sided! It's so annoying because when boobs are shoved in your face all of the time, it gets annoying, it's like, where is the kind of thing I want to see?!

Which is also why I love to just keep myself at home, and watch anime or play video games. I get to immerse myself in a world of fantasy and magic, one that actually (sadly) isn't as bad as the world we live in. Especially in action video games or anime, things are usually much more lighter than they are in the real world. There's so much hate and intolerance in the real world, but in an anime or a video game, it's more of a good vs evil kind of thing.

I have just given up on people because of the way hundreds, and millions of people are to other people, it's like no one knows how to not be a dick! Guys, all because you have a dick, does not mean you need to act like one!
I'm just like, I think I like being a shut in because I don't have to deal with assholes.. But then again I still do if I go on the internet, but I just have to watch where I go.
I am getting over it in a sense that everyone can go fuck themselves, and I don't care anymore. I just hope that those people either just die slow, and painful deaths, or just really regret their actions in whatever afterlife that may possibly exist!

The attitudes that I have seen, and faced has just made me hate and dislike people, the very few that I like I have no problem with of course. But I just don't like people and I'm pretty sure most people who have worked in retail can understand!

On a side note, this is my 108th post! 108 is a special number in the Suikoden series!

(As I edit this in 2019, I realize that I was very angry while in retail. I'm glad I'm not in retail anymore, because I have a much lighter tone again!)

New Years Resolutions

New years resolutions can be interesting. You either accomplish some, or all of them, or you don't do any of them at all!

I don't really make new years resolutions, but I am this year!

For me, I want to make some changes, and they are as followed!

1. Go to bed at a normal time! - I have a habit of going to bed really late! Sometimes 4 or 3 am, but I tend to go to bed at 2 am, especially when I have work at 9 and have to get up at 7.
I'm always tired these days, and once I get home, I'm not tired anymore!! It's really weird actually! But I need to get myself on a good track.

2. Clean my room - I for some reason have no motivation to clean my room, but I have to do something. I feel like if my room was clean I would be more motivated to do productive things!

3. Stop procrastinating all of the time! Studies show that procrastinating is good for you and relieves stress, but I am almost never productive! I want to change that and do lot's of things I want to do.

4. Get my drivers license - I have failed my road test twice, the first time was because I didn't know certain things, and the instructor was crazy/rude, the second time was because I was so nervous! But no more, I am going to do my best next time and I have to pass the road test! I can't take the bus my whole life!

5. A new job - I would love to get a new job, but I need my driver's license first because I live in a quiet area and the buses don't run near my preferred places of employment (Office settings)

6. Getting my act together - I want to make video games, I want to make comics, stories, draw, make and sell things on ebay.. maybe even make youtube videos from time to time. I have to switch a gear to actually do things!

7. Play video games! - Ever since I got a new computer in 2010, I don't play video games as much as I used to. I'm on the internet all of the time. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but I miss playing some of my favorite games. I used to play video games all of the time, and now it's occasionally. I feel that not only is it easier to be more productive when playing a game, because there's not as much to do as there is on the internet, but playing more games will allow me to have more creative ideas.

8. Get off the computer! - I am on the computer too much, and the sad thing is that it's usually to do nothing but procrastinate! I have to do productive things and not waste my time looking at silly pictures of cats all day.

9. Learn to dance? - My friends want to teach me to dance, and they showed me how already, but we're going to train more. This would help me on social levels too, to feel better and more comfortable in my own skin. Plus, I can also slay everyone with awesome dancing skillz!

10. Make more friends - This is a given, as we always meet new people in our lives. I would love to make some more friends, especially people I get along with really well.. I only have a few of those.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus, Dies Natalis Invicti Solis, Happy New Year. What greeting do you use?

Do you think it's okay to specifically state one holiday to everyone? Or just say Happy Holidays or Season Greetings?

I prefer Happy Holidays, because you can't just assume things, it just makes an ass out of you and me! I'm sure there are plenty of people who hate Christmas because it's talked about all the time, and they don't even celebrate it. I think it can be rude when everyone says Merry Christmas, especially to people who don't celebrate it. It's like saying "Cheers to being sober!", to someone who's never had an addiction to drugs, or alcohol, it's like, what the hell?! Or asking an overweight woman, when their baby is due. It just doesn't qualify to them.

Although, if you specifically know what someone celebrates, then it's okay, in my opinion.
But I don't think it's right saying something like Merry Christmas to everyone, that would be just like if everyone said Happy Hanukkah to people of Catholic religions, I think lot's of people would be offended if that happened.
Another thing I don't like, is when people say Happy Christmas, instead of Merry Christmas, I just think it sounds very weird and off!

I always hated that song

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to...... I Always hated that song! I think it was in the movie, Problem Child, with John Ritter. I swear, that movie traumatized me as a kid.

So my birthday is on Saturday December 20th, and not only am I FORCED TO WORK because I work in retail, the most soul sucking and crappiest job on the planet. But I have no choice but to work on my birthday because at my store, you cannot take off the Saturday before Christmas...  Not only that, but I am turning 25, a milestone birthday! On top of that, I can't really do anything for my birthday and most of my friends can't really hang out with me on my birthday or anything because they're really busy due to the holidays.
I was really  hoping that I would have gotten a new job by now, but things don't always go as planned.
I was thinking of re-scheduling my birthday to a month from now, this way everyone can go and do something with me!

Throwback Thursday Post 3 : The Future?

This Throwback Thursday is about my three favorite video game series! Suikoden, Chrono and Kya Dark Lineage. News about the Suikoden games have reminded me of all the good times I have had with each series separately, my favorite of each though is Suikoden II, Chrono Cross and Kya Dark Lineage (The latter has no sequel). All three series have had a tremendous impact on my life in some way, and they are all amazing games!

The name of this blog post's title is for the future of these game series, although Kya and Chrono are currently dead, the Suikoden series has had some commotion recently. Dedicated fans such as myself made a commotion to the company that created the series, Konami. The fans successfully made notice to Konami, and now the second game is coming to the PSN network, which by the way, the physical copy is so rare it goes for over 100 dollars on ebay! Now people who have been dying to play it, but never had the money, will now get the chance to play it!
With all of the fan commotion, hopefully Konami will understand that we would love to see a new game! (As of 2019, this is most likely never going to happen. Konami doesn't care about it's games anymore, but it's slot machines, and casinos. If the company would give the rights to another gaming company, and have the original creators. Then we might be able to see a new game)

Suikoden has not had a true sequel since 2005, there have been two spin offs though. The first spin off, Suikoden Tierkreis, came out in 2009, and was not well received by fans. The second spin off, Suikoden Tsumugareshi, came out in 2012 and was never released in English!

Suikoden II in particular, has to do with the hero, an orphan who is betrayed by his own comrades. The hero must stand up to fight against the empire he was once a part of, traveling across the world, and recruiting allies to help him fight in a war against the Highland Army.

The last Chrono game came out in 2000, one of the creators said if fans want to see a sequel, we must keep buying Chrono Trigger and Cross.

Chrono Cross is about a boy named Serge, he lived a normal life until one day he goes out to a beach with his friends. Suddenly, he is transported to another dimension where he died when he was 7!
Trying to figure out what is going on, he meets a girl named Kid, who is going after a man named Lynx who knows something about an artifact called the Frozen Flame.
Serge goes on a journey to help Kid find the Frozen Flame, and makes friends along the way, who are also after the Frozen Flame.

Kya Dark Lineage was a sleeper hit by Eden games that came out in 2003, most who played it loved the game. The unfortunate thing is that the company did not advertise it very well, with slogans like "More fun than belly button lint!", it's safe to say Kya did not get a fair chance to shine properly. Not to mention, with all the Action/Adventure/Platformers that were released around the same time. People wouldn't have been able to choose which games to play!

Kya Dark Lineage is about a young woman named Kya, upon discovering a hidden room with her brother Frank, they are simultaneously teleported to another universe! When Kya awakes, Frank is no where to be found, and she is being chased by evil creatures known as Wolfen. She is not the only one being chased, other beings known as Nativs are on the run from them too, and eventually they escape and the Nativs bring Kya to a village known as Nativ City . The Nativs have been terrorized by these Wolf creatures known as Wolfen. Wolfen are actually Nativs who are transformed into Wolfen when captured. The mastermind behind Wolfen, is in fact a man named Brazul. Kya does not know Brazul's intentions, but she plans to help restore the Wolfen to their Nativ form, find Frank, put a stop to Brazul and find a way home.
