Throwback Thursday! Post two

Welcome to Throwback Thursday post two! This is actually a pre-written TBT as it is 7/17/2014 and I just wanted to post this funny Starburst commercial from 2007!

The first part of Throwback Thursday is about the game Grim Grimoire, it's a fantastic Real time tactical game that I had played back in 2007, it was made by Vanillaware and Nippon Ichi.
I always thought of Grim Grimoire as a set of three, alongside with Soul Nomad & the world eaters and Odin Sphere. They all came out at almost the same time, Odin Sphere came out in May of 2007, Grim Grimoire came out in June 2007, and Soul Nomad came out in September of 2007.
The ties that they have are as follows... Odin Sphere was developed by Vanillaware, and published by Atlus, Grim Grimoire was developed by both Vanillaware, and Nippon Ichi (You'll notice that Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire have a similar art style), Soul Nomad was developed by Nippon Ichi completely. But, they all kind of connected with each other and all came out at almost the same time.

Without further adieu, the intro sequence which is awesome!

Last but not least, here is the Starburst Commercial from 2007 that I remember getting into.

Anime Reviews: The Wallflower

This week, I am going to review the anime "The Wallflower", also known as "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge" (Perfect Girl Evolution).

The Wallflower is a comedy anime about four guys who live in a giant mansion, the landlady known as "Auntie" (Her name is "Mine") explains that if they want to stay at her mansion, they have to teach her niece how to be a lady, otherwise their rent will double!
The only problem is, her niece is "Sunako Nakahara", and she is not only creepy, but likes scary things, as well as darkness!
One time a guy she liked called her ugly, so now she thinks she is ugly, and hides herself from the people known as "Creatures of Light" (Pretty people), she refers to herself as a "Creature of Darkness".
She also gets nosebleeds when seeing a beautiful person! This won't be a simple task for the four gentlemen.

Check out a list of images, I screen-shotted from the show, on

Characters

Kyohei Is kind of the main protagonist, he is hot headed, a big eater and does what he wants to do!

Sunako Is the main female character, she calls herself a creature of darkness. She loves creepy things, her best friends are non animate objects, Hiroshi is an anatomical figure, Josephine is a skeleton, Akira is a half bodied anatomical figure, and another skeleton, Sargent George.
She's the kind of person that gets excited when there has been a murder, and wants to keep the murderer's bloody clothes....

Most of the time, Sunako is in chibi form. This is even recognized by the other characters, as they will look down to her when talking. She is rarely in her average size form.

Yukinojo (Yuki for short)-  Is the most normal of the boys, he's kind, sensitive and generally a good person. He loves animals, and nature. He's more shy and quiet, unlike the rest of the characters. He is the kid of the group, and people tend to find him adorable like a kid, which annoys him.
Sunako has a soft spot for him, as one time she made dinner, and only let Yuki have some food.
On occasion, he has to cross-dress, and does not like doing it. He has a more androgynous look, so people have confused him as a woman before.
He's my favorite character, and he is also the only guy who does not get a girlfriend on the show. I believe he is gay, but not for that reason, there are subtle hints. and the biggest hint is when the gang gets to have some snacks, and he gets a popsicle and is just thrashing the thing in his mouth...
LIKE GURLLL...
Unfortunately, he apparently does get a girlfriend, I guess in the manga. Which makes no sense, he's literally got his ass up in the intro theme of the anime. He's as queer as they come!

Yuki on the right is having so much fun with that popsicle.. I can't...

He also helps Sunako pick out clothes and has the best fashion sense!

Takenaga - Is the intelligent one of the group

Ranmaru - Is the narcissistic ladies man, he is all about women and sex. The Blanche Devereaux of the show.
I am honestly surprised that he is straight, he is the most feminine one of the bunch. Ranmaru and Yuki should honestly hook up, they'd be perfect for each other.

Noi -  Is the second female character of the group, as well as Sunako's close friend. She is the last of the main characters, and gets involved with the other's shenanigans. She is energetic, sassy, but she can also get hot headed at times. She is also my favorite character alongside Yuki.

Auntie (Mine) - Is Sunako's aunt, she is very wealthy, and tends to appear out of no where via planes, limo's.. anything she has, is much bigger than a normal vehicle. A limo she came out of was twice it's size in width, another time, she came out of a plane that was so long, it didn't fit on the screen! She wants Sunako to become a proper lady.

Tamao - Is a minor character, she only appears near the end of the series, and Ranmaru's fiance. She's very sweet and kind. She is also rich, and sometimes helps out the gang by asking her butler for favors.

Goth Loli Sisters - Then there are the goth loli sisters, they are the definition of weird, and they're in just about every episode. Each episode contains the incredible foursome going after the boys, of course they always fail!
They're bizarre and weird, and they're there for comic relief!
Everything they say ends with the word "Nay".. there's even an episode where Kyohei starts saying it! Nay!

The kind of brutal abuse they receive is not something you should worry about, you'll probably be relieved when they get slammed by a door, or hit by a train...

There really isn't a word to explain them... well maybe idiots..

The girls devise a plan to get the boys to notice them, so they get a new brand of lipstick!

You got a little on your face... oh never-mind!

It may sound like I am bagging on them, but they are hilarious!

There's also these guys, but they're in like two episodes and no one especially cares about them... They've got nothing on the Goth Loli Sisters, at least they're determined!

My Review

I originally saw the first part of the anime in summer of 2009, I saw the dubbed version. I really enjoyed it, and thought it was hilarious!
I have a tendency to leave off on anime.. but in this case, I just didn't know where to get the second volume, as I had borrowed it from the library, and they didn't have the second part. ( I also didn't watch subbed anime yet, at the time.)

Fast forward to June 2014, and I was thinking about this anime and thought I would buy the complete collection online.
It was a great idea, I loved the anime so much 5 years ago, and I re-watched the whole thing and saw the episodes I did not see before. I really enjoyed the series! It's very funny and the characters are VERY interesting.
One of the funniest episodes had to have been the last episode, so if you don't like it, I suggest watching the first three episodes, and watch the last one, because it's hilarious!

Screen Grabs

Fortunately for the fans, the story continues on in the manga. I am not the biggest fan of manga in general, but I am going to get myself to read up to where the anime left off. I might read from the beginning, but I don't know yet.

Anime Review: Strange+

So, I tried out this anime called "Strange +". It's about a group of people who have a detective agency. A man named Kou went out to find his brother Takumi, he finds out that Takumi went to work at a detective agency. Takumi did not want to go back home, so instead, Kou joins Takumi and his friends on adventures as detectives.

It's actually a short, each episode is 2-3 minutes long. The anime is a comedy/parody anime, and I have to say that just after watching 3 episodes, it is HILARIOUS!
The anime is very interesting and also has something for everyone, and you'll notice the references to other anime. Especially Sailor Moon!
The characters are interesting, Takumi  is a cross dresser who acts the type of most cross-dressing characters in anime, but at the same time he doesn't. (If that makes a lick of sense!)
The one female character Miwa has giant breasts, and is obviously a parody of all of the anime with women who have big breasts (Which is basically every anime.)
You have Masamune who is obviously the fan service for anyone into guys, and he tends to go shirtless.
Then there is Kou, who seems like the usual hero type character.

This post was made a week ago, and I've already watched the series twice and I LOVE IT!! I am excited the next season is airing soon as of July 2014.

I recommend you try it out, check it out on Animeplanet.

The diaries of a youtube commenter

This is going to drive me insane, is it commentor or commenter? Anyways..

I've noticed there are lot's of idiots on youtube... (Also assholes)

Youtube is a big site for trolls, and nasty people in general, but there are plenty of people in the comments who say the most unintelligent things that I have ever seen!

What I've noticed is that lot's of people like to do the following...

I am going to use an example in the brackets ( This is an example!)

• State the obvious. (This youtuber is a guy! Holy cow! Now let me go point out how he has eyeballs next!)

• Ask questions that are obvious, and shouldn't even be questions in the first place. (If you take off the wig, it's the guy who made this youtube channel!) [Yeah cause, that's his character..]
(Another example..)
[Youtuber: I'm coming out of the closet, I'm gay!] (Is he gay?)

• Ask questions that you would find the answer to, if you actually watched the video or read the description of the video.
[End of youtube video: Sorry guys, Bob wasn't in this video. He had to go to Greenland to save his cat.]
[Description: Bob was busy saving his cat, so he couldn't be in the video today.]
(Where's bob? I luff him, I hate this. I un-subscribbeell!!!)

• Instead of replying to another persons comment, the person makes a new comment, and since it is not linked with someone's original comment, the user that replied is talking about the most random thing that makes no sense. (Okay then, what is your opinion on the hypotenuse in relation to the galactic constant, including the square of the ratio of a black hole's gravitational force to it's light output?) {wat}

• People who don't get the joke, and go on to complain or question, when in reality.. it was a part of the humor in the comedic video. (THIS VIDEO IS SO OFFENSIVE, I AM REPORTING YOU TO YOUTUBE, THE POLICE, THE PRESIDENT, THE IRS, THE PRINCIPALITY OF SPAIN AND YOUR MOM!)
I've seen a video about a hippo, and a comment would say "What a cute dog". Then people would respond to them, saying, "Dude, that's a hippo". Even though the comment was clearly a joke.

• Spell a youtuber's name wrong, and then repeatedly spell it wrong when their name is the channel or description, maybe even posted ON the video. [Youtuber name example: Bob] (I love this channel! Boob is so funny! I love you Boob, you're the best Boob!) {Boob for president!}

• Bad grammar, punctuation and spelling. This isn't a stupid thing, but it annoys the heck out of me! It also happens everywhere. (thes vide vurry funni i liek boob he is gud n funni.)

Throwback Thursday! Post One.

Okay, so I am probably going to start making a blog post every Thursday, instead of any day of the week. This is for two reasons. 1. I work in retail, and get Thursdays off the most (I haven't worked a Thursday for three months!) 2. I forgot the second reason, but reason 1 was good enough imo.

Today I am going to do a Throwback Thursday because, I don't have material for this week, and it's already 11 PM.

I do have 7 drafts however, I figure it's easier to edit a post each day, than to just take an hour to make it (For the bigger ones it takes an hour, this post is like 5 minutes).
If curious, I have the following titles I am working on in my drafts folder on the blog.
Must Play: Kya Dark Lineage, Must Play: Chrono Cross, Why I don't like Politics, What I think about Guns, The Many times I was verbally harassed in retail, Teen Wolf is the new Supernatural and Idiots are Everywhere. The last one I will be posting next week. These titles will be posts in the future, just as long as I am not eaten by the deadly zombie potato monster that is hiding under my bed!

So, for Throwback Thursday. I was reminded about my old friends, back when I used to live near New York City. I had my cousin, and two other people, my one friend was the only girl in the group, and I had known for a while that she moved to Florida (Which is now pronounced Flow-Rye-Duuuh, FYI :P
If you don't get the reference, just watch the video on youtube titled Awkward by Miles Jai, which I did post on this blog.)
But, it's so amazing how time flies, and how you knew people, and they aren't in your life anymore, but there is still a string that still attaches you to them. You haven't lost them completely, and you want to hold onto that string, and never let go! I was surprised to find out that she is bi and has a girlfriend, I was like... how did I not know this?

Here is Throwback Thursday's video of the day. This is a video by Venetian Princess that I originally saw in 2009. It's a Taylor Swift Parody titled : Just a Zombie.

Sign up to post a comment: My Rant

I'm sure we've all  been there,

We find an article on some website, and want to make a comment. But, then it asks you to join up to make a comment!
Some sites actually let you post with your facebook, or twitter username, which is really cool, and I always comment with my twitter profile whenever I can.
But every now and again, I want to make a post, and it asks me to sign up, and I am just like...

First off, I do not want to go through the signing up process, it can be really annoying. Especially since all I want to do is make one simple, and easy comment... but no.. there's all of this.. you have to add your email, birth date, password, username, sell your left kidney, make a profile picture and much more!

(All this, for 29.99! one low price of 29.99!)

But it's like, all I want to do is make a comment, and then shimmy shake my way outta there. I do not want to sign up to a website that I am never going to appear on ever again. It's very strange to me that some sites won't let guests post, or let someone log in with a popular social network ID. Do they really want millions of members that never post, and are never active? As an Ex-forum owner, I thought it was so annoying when people joined the site, but never contributed. I don't get the hype for these websites that MAKE YOU SIGN UP if you want to comment; do you really want an excess of dead accounts? These are popular websites that have articles that are meant to be viewed, and commented on! Not have a million empty accounts.

There is No Point to it.

I just want to say what I feel, and then leave to never return. I especially don't want free offers that give me amazing prizez either, which is what this site did, it was like sign up, and you get emailz!!!!

I'm like no thanks, I get too much spam from everyone else already!
Of course it's the worst when you try to make a comment before you are signed up, because not only do you go through the whole signing up for a website you don't care about, but a good portion of the time the website deletes your post, and you have to write it all over again!
I just did this, and the worst part is that I had to re-write my comment THREE TIMES!!!
The funniest part is all I was doing was answering someone's question, so of course all of the time it took to sign up, and I get ready to post and someone else responded, and answered their question and I was just like....😐

Fortunately, they left off something so I did still go through all of that trouble to post a comment.
But it's the most annoying thing ever!!! Tell me about your experiences, and if you have not had such experiences, tell me about your favorite color.

My hiijinks

Question: When was the last time you royally f*cked something up?

My Answer: I don't remember, so I'm going to make something up!
I made lot's of cool variations of this image!
(Night, Sunset, Blood!)

There was this one time that I was invited into a kings castle, and well I got adventurous, and decided to explore!
Of course I got curious, and just had to move this oddly shaped candlestick that was just poking out like a penis!
All of a sudden, WOOSH! A door opened up and an extreme amount of air sucked me right in!
There I was, in the dark, when all of a sudden candles starting light up, one after another... it revealed a hallway that looked like it would never end!
I walked down the never-ending hallway, to find a room, there was nothing in it except for a treasure chest.
Now, I'm not a greedy person, but I am a curious one... so I had to look inside!
Would you believe it if I told you there was a gold plated vase inside of the treasure chest?
It was so beautiful I just had to take a picture of it, and post it on Facebook!

But what I didn't know was that anyone who takes out the golden vase, curses the whole castle! Suddenly, the ground started to shake, and the whole room was trembling.
Pieces of stone were falling from the ceiling, and I knew it was time to get the F*CK out of there! I ran towards the hall way, and out to the door and room where the candlestick was.
I saw a soldier who told me to evacuate, which is exactly what I was doing.

I ran out of the castle like a bat out of hell.

Eventually I ran so far I had reached the mountains... that is, when I saw the entire castle delve into the ground, and disappear into a bottomless pit!

I was appalled as to what just happened.

That castle was called 108 Stars castle, and the reason why it doesn't sound familiar is because this happened centuries ago. You see I am a time traveler, and I went back in time to explore castles...
You may know the place now as Mount Everest! A mountain totally took form there afterwards, pretty amazing stuff I might add!

That's the story on how I destroyed a castle by complete accident!

How To: Not get angry and kill someone over the internet, real life too

Here is some advice, in which I help you make your life easier by not doing something you'll regret possibly later when you're watching reruns of Law & Order and go "Hey! Maybe I shouldn't have said that!"

So, you've just seen the most offensive, angering, loin pulling post/comment you've seen all day? Well here are my tips to you!

-Calm down

#1. Instead of getting angry and saying mean, nasty things that would insult their mother, dog and moldy fruit. Step back for a moment, and cool down. Get your head together, clear it up and just think for a minute. Let the anger flow out so you can think, and release your inhibition from captivity.

You don't want to do something hasty, that you will regret later!

-Analyze the situation

#2. Think about what the person is saying, are they aiming their comment towards you, or a group you're in? Maybe they don't mean it the way you think they mean. They could have meant the statement in a totally harmless way, and you're just over-thinking it. Their dialogue could even be satire (Have you ever heard of the onion? If not, check it out for what I mean by Satire). Whatever the situation, take a step back for a moment, and re-read what they said in a clear, and open mind, no ignorance and rage shall enter.

You need to analyze the situation so you know exactly what is going on!

-Represent yourself in a logical or comedic manner

#3. If they're wrong about what they're saying, or if you have some really good things to add to the horrible things they're saying. You must defeat them with logic and wit, or just logic, or just wit! You have to make them into the fool, before they make you into the fool. If you come up with your idea, and execute it poorly, they can shoot you down with their own logic (If they have any) and you will look like the fool.

But you have to execute your logic, wit and facts in a well done manner in order to win the argument.

Tamako Market

So, I started watching this anime called Tamako Market, and I am LOVING IT!! I watched 6 episodes in a day, which I only do if I really like a show.

The anime is about a girl named Tamako, who meets a talking bird named Dera. Dera, is in search for a princess for his prince.
Dera is a complete weirdo, slightly perverted, and a complete narcissist!

Tamako market has lot's of interesting characters, and introduces more every episode. Dera, aside from being slightly a pervert, actually helps out the characters with their problems.

What I like about the anime, is that it brings in lot's of clichƩ elements, but throws them out the window, and makes the clichƩ things interesting and different.

What I think is also cool is that unlike many anime, it is not heteronormative! (Look it up).
The first scene introduces a blonde male to female transgender character. The second episode has no problem mentioning that one of Tamako's friend's, get valentine's day stuff from the guys, and the girls. Not to mention, it is very clear, that one of Tamako's female friends is in love with Tamako! Along with Tamako's male friend who is also in love with her as well. (The two of them have a bit of a rivalry, and understanding that they both like Tamako)
It's really an anime for everyone, it's fun, funny and heartwarming!

It is definitely the feel good anime of 2013.

Oh yeah, and the ending theme Neguse is AWESOME! (As I edit this in 2019, I haven't seen TM for at least 5 years, and I can still think of the song right off the bat!)

The Lost Files: Missing Shaving Cream

Sometimes I'll do a segment called "The Lost Files", it'll be kind of like the X-Files, but not as good.

A few days ago my shaving cream went missing. I looked all over the house and I could not find it, I figured my dad took it because he's stolen my razors before, so why not shaving cream? I looked in my parents bathroom and I did not find my shaving cream. I ended up having to use my fathers shaving cream.. which isn't a big deal, but having to barge into my parents room every time just to use it is annoying, I really need to make a trip to the store and buy a new one.

It's the weirdest thing because I still cannot find it.

"Shavin' Cream, running away from home!"

At this point, I have come to the conclusion that it just ran away for whatever reason... maybe I wasn't using it correctly, maybe I wasn't squeezing it in the "right places"?
Whatever reason it is, it's just gone, but it could have had the decency to have left a letter saying it was leaving, maybe attached could be a going away present, I could totally use a gift card.

"Dear Hotspot,

I'm leaving you because you're just using me for my body, but I'm more than just a can of shaving cream, I have feelings too you know!!
Just like Taylor Swift, we are NEVER EVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER.
*Runs away crying*

Oh and PS, I ran off with your shampoo, we're eloping to Guatemala!

Love, Shaving Cream."

They'll make beautiful babies together.

Something like that would have been fine with me, there's more shaving creams in the sea!

Leave your questions and comments about lost things in the comments below, you know, one time, I lost my mind! Still haven't found it yet.. maybe one day...
