I've worked in quite a few jobs in the last 8 years, and I've learned some interesting things!
This will be updated for every job I have etc..
1. Mail Room - Automatic Staplers exist. (I wasn't aware of this until I worked this job.)
2. Social Services - There are Not For Profit organizations that help the unemployed that are on Government assistance to get jobs! (I was the one who looked up jobs online and sent job ads to the clients)
(This is a United States only fact, I don't know if other countries do this.)
3. Retail -Different colored items in a store might be a different price because some colors sell more than others, so they discount the ones that aren't selling as well so they can sell the product.
So if the Red Dress is 19.99 and the Green Dress is 16.99, it's because the Green Dress isn't selling as well.
4. Private Investigation Industry - In United States, any vehicle with a license plate that has two letters at the end of the license plate number is a Commercial Vehicle. Example: 1234-AB.
5. Trucking Industry - United States of America, Canada and Europe, have road regulations that trucking companies have to follow to make sure the roads are safe and to prevent accidents! These companies also have to pay extra taxes, to ensure their vehicles are safe enough to be on the road.
6. Eco-Friendly Industry -Eco-Friendly disposable products can be made out of materials such as Bamboo, and Palm Leaves.
7. Restoration Services Industry - When someone's house is damaged, they have to create a blueprint of the house, including how measurements of the house and mark what has been damaged. A program will calculate how much it will cost to fix everything.
