End of a Legend: Warehouse 13!

So, today was the last episode of the Sci Fi/Syfy show Warehouse 13. As I am typing this, there is only 15 minutes left of the show, and I am taking the commercial breaks to start this post...

Warehouse 13 is a show about, you my have guessed it, a warehouse! Each warehouse holds magical items known as artifacts, all with their own unique powers. After certain events, a warehouse gets closed down, and they find a new one. The last episode of W13, they start talking about moving to Warehouse 14.

The artifacts in the series are very interesting, and all different from each other. One can create tornadoes, while another item can make a person shape shift. Some artifacts are very dangerous, while other's...not so much. The cool thing is, the items are usually based off of people from actual history, and the artifact in hand is most likely an item that was used by the historical person in real history.

Special agents take care of the warehouse, as well as scour the world, looking for new ones! Not only do they have special agents, but they also have a "Caretaker", someone who is magically connected with the warehouse. Mrs. Fredericks, is the caretaker of Warehouse 13, and can sense if the building is in trouble. It's hinted that the character, Claudia, would become the caretaker of Warehouse 14, as she had some connection with 13.
In one episode, Mrs. Frederick  shows Claudia, an artifact being made, due to an event that was unfolding.  In the later season, she becomes somewhat of a mentor to Claudia, since she will become the successor.

In the series, we only get to see Warehouse 2, and Warehouse 12, but there is an info dump on each Warehouse in the middle of the series, so you get to know a little bit about them all. The earliest warehouse, warehouse 1 was active in 336BC, for instance.

The show is just filled with amazing artifacts with awesome powers, great characters and lot's of lore to it.

It's a show, that really hasn't been done before. Magical items that have to be protected from evildoers,  and sometimes themselves. No futuristic themes or zombies, just magic items with magic powers. It was something I actually find interesting in the sea of overused themes of post apocalyptic worlds and alien space ships, something different from most of the other sci fi shows on tv.
Yes, I know there are shows, and games with "magical items", but not to the extent where it's the main focus. These items can make an average person, somewhat of a superhero!

I'm really sad to see Warehouse 13 go, as it is an amazing show with a different concept. The show has lot's of parts from various episodes, that could actually make room for a spin off/sequel. They actually meant to make one a few years ago, but they never did. It would have involved a recurring character, H. G Wells (Based off the famous author, who in W13, was a woman.), and her adventures in the past. They could have easily made a spin off from a previous Warehouse, or even the future warehouse.
It's funny, because I always pictured all of the years the show would be on, and all of the cool ideas they could come up with. Unfortunately, they cut it much shorter than I had expected, especially with a 6 episode season 5. (This is a "SyFy" show, and they always cut their shows short, unfortunately.)

To end this post, I LOVED Warehouse 13, and I hate seeing it go. It was a different concept not really used before, something unique and different.

It's actually Warehouse 13's reason why I got into Teen Wolf, as I wanted to expand my sci fi library.. But I still want to expand it more, especially since Teen Wolf is taking over Warehouse 13, as it is on at basically the same time and day as Warehouse 13.
I'm thinking of getting into Lost Girl next...although I also have to get back to anime too!
